I was lucky to have a pretty easy pregnancy, fast delivery, and a happy baby to show for it in the end. But where I drew the short stick was in the post-partum hair loss category. During pregnancy my hair was great, but as soon as I took that first shower after getting home from the hospital, the battle to keep my hair began.
And the war waged on for months. Finally, I decided it was too deadened and thinned out to bother keeping it long. It wouldn't resume it's natural waviness, wouldn't hold a curl, and had more split ends than I'd ever seen.
Chop chop. I am happy with my shorter hair. And it is finally starting to fill back in. But I know it will never be the same.
However, yesterday was like a peace offering from my hair. I decided I would try to wear it natural (which is like a pseudo-curly-kinda-wavy-messy look?). My hair hasn't had enough fullness or body to even come close to this style for a solid 6 months now. VOILA!
SCORE: Megan-1, Megan's hair-195 (every day, minus 1, since Sawyer was born!)
Speaking of the little guy, he is now a side sleeper. He rolls himself onto his stomach in the night alot now and he hates his stomach so he wakes up crying until someone comes in and flips him onto his back. But then he usually wakes up in this position. Happy medium, I guess.
